Answer:

first, mark a point at x=0, y =3.  This is the "y intercept"

A slope of -3/4 means that if you move 4 units in the + x direction, the y value will be 3 less.  Thus, at x = 4, y = 0

You can get another point at x = -4.  Here, y will be 3 units HIGHER than the starting point---i.e. +6

The equation of your line is y = -3x/4 + 3

plug in some other values of x to see the y value.
