The volume of each square pyramid is 1/3 ft³.

Volume

The volume of a object is the amount of space a three dimensional object occupies.

In a cube all the sides are equal, hence:

Volume = length * breadth * height = length³

Volume = (1 ft)³ = 1 ft³

The volume of each square pyramid = volume of cube / 3 = 1 ft³ / 3

The volume of each square pyramid is 1/3 ft³.
