Stereotypes and prejudice are born from fear and ignorance. People are against what they don’t understand, if they are unsure of something they may automatically attach a negative label onto it. People foster hatred towards the unknown in order to temporarily avoid their fears or ignorance towards whatever it is they do not understand.
