Answer: Differences in temperature
The salinity and temperature ate two factors that affects the density of oceanic water. The density of oceanic water increases with the decrease in temperature, until the water freezes into ice. The more the density of water the faster will be the oceanic current and the less the density of water that is in ice form the water current will be slow.
