slope of the line y=4x-14 is 4

since the lines are parallel,

slope of required line = 4

Now,

Equation of required line is given by

y-(-6) = 4 [x - (-2) ]

y+6 = 4 ( x +2)

y+6 = 4x + 8

y+ 6 - 4x - 8 = 0

y - 4x - 2 = 0

Hence, y - 4x - 2 = 0 is the equation of required line.
