Answer:

The Cherokees most likey opposed the concept. The manifest destiny was the idea of expanding the United states farther west. Many Indians, including the Cherokees, still inhabited these areas. Expansion west led to the forcing of Indians off their land. The Cherokees even had to undergo the trail of tears, where they were forced on a long journey of relocation. Many Cherokees died or suffered on the journey hence the name.
