A line of symmetry is basically a line on the shape where if you fold it it acts as a mirror line because the shape is equal on both sides
Because the shape is a rectangle there are only 2 lines of symmetry one is from the top to the bottom directly through the middle and the other is from the left to the right directly through the middle and this should create a cross. See example if confused.
