Hello there,
Notice that as x gets big y is getting also big
but y is reduction of x with k being that reduction
if you notice we are dividing x by 3 to get y
6/3=2
12/3=4
18/3=6
24/3=8
so k=3
and the equation must be y=1/3 x or x=3y
