How would I solve this?

[tex] e^{3x+2} = e^{3} [/tex]

I have to make the bases the same so that i can cross them out and solve for x

First ln on both sides to bring down the powers.
Ln and e cancel each other out.
3x +2 = 3
3x = 1
x = 1/3
