Since you're trying to find f(-3), your function that you have to plug -3 into will be f(x).

f(-3) = -2(-3)^2+(-3)+3

f(-3) = -2(9)+(-3)+3

f(-3) = -18-3+3

f(-3) = -18 is your final answer
