b. g(6) = 5(6)+1 = 30+1 = 31.
c. f(-1) = -(-1)^2+4(-1)-10 = -1-4-10 = -15.
d. This is saying to solve g(x)=16:
- 5x+1=16
- Subtract 1 from each side: 5x=15
- Divide both sides by 5: x=3.
The answer is x=3.
