In Jack's class, 7 out of 25 students have hazel eyes. What percent of the class has hazel eyes?

You're going to set up a proportion. % over 100 = is over of. You're looking for the percent so that's your x. X over 100=7 over 25. Cross multiply to get 25x=700. Divide both sides by 25 and your answer is 28%
