12 cans in a case.
He has 4 1/2 cases.
12 * 4 1/2 = 54

He has 54 cans.

Well lets break the question down... One box equals 12, 1/2 of a box would equal 6. So 4 x 12 = 48 and then you add the 6 soda cans to the answer to get 54. The correct answer would be 54!
