abstinence is a type of contraceptive that allows the female body to engage in sexual intercourse without having the risks of pregnancy. it should be practiced by humans who are sexually active/mostly interested in participating in sexual intercourse because it ensures that the female body will not give her eggs a chance to fertilise with the male body’s sperm.
