Given :

An angle 10 16' 15".

To Find :

The given angle into degrees.

Solution :

We know, 1° = 60' and 1' = 60".

Now,

[tex]15" = (15\times \dfrac{1}{60})^{'}\\\\15"= \dfrac{1}{4}^{'}=0.25^{'}[/tex]

Now,  total minutes are :

(16 + 0.25)' = 16.25'

Converting 16.25' to degrees.

[tex]16.25^{'} = 16.25\times \dfrac{1}{60} ^o\\\\16.25^{'} = 0.271^o[/tex]

Therefore, angle in degree is ( 10+0.271 )° = 10.271° .
