If you have to divide a fraction by a whole number convert the whole number to a fraction. Any whole number's fraction counterpart is just adding a 1 as the denominator.
Example: 5 = [tex] \frac{5}{1} [/tex]
If you have to divide a fraction by a fraction, just flip the second number and multiply.
Example: [tex] \frac{10}{8}[/tex] divide [tex] \frac{5}{8} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{10}{8}[/tex] mulitply [tex] \frac{8}{5} [/tex]
