What is the value of x in the equation 2(x – 3) + 9 = 3(x + 1) + x?

2(x-3)+9=3(x+1)+x
2x-6+9=3x+3+x
2x+3=4x+3
-2x      -2x
3=2x+3
-3       -3
0=2x
x=0
