there are many different names for sand dunes, it all depends on the way it looks like there is the reversing dunes and star dunes, parabolic dune, Barchan Dunes,Transverse Dunes, and Nebkha or Coppice Dunes so yes you just got to find out which one it is by looking at the pictures of them
