Steven says “I would rather have 5/9 of $72 than 4/6 because I will get more to spend.” Is he correct? Explain your answer.

Steven is incorrect as 5/9 of 72 is less than 4/6 of 72. (5/9×72=5×(72÷9)=5×8=40) (4/6×72=4×(72÷6)=4×12=48)
