the median( middle number), and if there is an even amount of numbers (which is what there is in this problem, there will be 2 middle numbers.....so u take the 2 middle numbers...add them and divide by 2 to find the median.
(3 + 3) / 2 = 6/2 = 3....median is 3

the mean (average) can be found by adding up all the numbers and dividing by how many numbers there are. 55/16 = 3.4275 rounds to 3.43 <== mean
