There’s no equation. Distributive property means multiplying the thing outside of the parentheses by each thing in the parentheses.
So -4(6+2w) = (-4x6) + (-4x2w) = -24 - 8w
(-24 - 8w) is the first part, so putting it all together:
(-24 - 8w) - 2w + w^2 = -24 - 10w + w^2
