[tex]cot x (tan x - 1) = 0 [/tex]

[tex]cot x tan x - cot x = 0 [/tex]

[tex]= cot x = 1/tan x = cot x tan x = 1 [/tex]

[tex]1 - cot x = 0 [/tex]

[tex]1 = cot x [/tex]

[tex]x = arccot 1 [/tex]

= [0,2π)

x = π/4 and x=5π/4
