Why might avoiding a jury trial be the best interest of one or both parties involved??

The best interest is probably being in the jury trial to make the decision and factory of being in panel of the judges to make the decisions

Avoiding a Jury trial might be the best interest of either party as they can come to an agreement without having to go through the trial - which could be lengthy and would take up time for parties involved.
