A rotation of 90° counterclockwise will have the following effect:

[tex](x,y)\mapsto (-y,x)[/tex]

So, you have to swap [tex]x[/tex] and [tex]y[/tex], and also change the sign of [tex]y[/tex]

So, you have

[tex](4,7)\mapsto (-7,4)[/tex]
