p(x) = x^2 - 1
q(x) = 5(x - 1)

q(x) = 5(x - 1)
q(x) = 5(x) - 5(1)
q(x) = 5x - 5

(p - q)(x) = (x^2 - 1) - (5x - 5)
(p - q)(x) = x^2 - 5x + 4
