Coxey's Army was led by Jacob Coxey, who marched at Washington D.C. to protest unemployment. The cause of this unemployment was because of the Panic of 1893 which was a very large decline in the United States economy. Coxey's idea was to march for the government to create more jobs and opportunities, along with building more roads.
