CLU stands for Chartered Life Underwriter. It's one of the top three designations to understanding a client's situation along with CFP and ChFC. It includes five required courses: Fundamentals of Insurance Planning, Life Insurance Law, Individual Life Insurance, Fundamentals of Estate Planning, and Planning for Business Owners and Professionals
