slope of betewen points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
slope=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

(6,12)
(-6,-2)
x1=6
y1=12
x2=-6
y2=-2

slope=(-2-12)/(-6-6)=-14/-12=7/6
slope=7/6
