How would you solve this I’m comfused on this one.

ANSWER:

x=2

STEP:

Multiply the parenthesis by the number before.

28-4x=5x+10

Add 4x to both sides.

28-4x=5x+10

28=9x+10

Subtract 10 from both sides.

18=9x

Divide both sides by 9.

2=x

you would give 4 and 5 to everything in the parenthesis
28-4x = 5x+10
then subtract 10 on each side
28-4x = 5x+10
-10 -10
18-4x = 5x
then add 4x on each side
18-4x = 5x
+4x +4x
18 = 9x
x = 2
