When Franklin D. Roosevelt became president in 1933 he realized that he needed pass many reforms to kick start the government again. His policies were the three R's: Relief, Recovery , and Reform. He instituted the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps), Social Security Act, and the Emergency Banking Relief Act, among many others.
