As Latvia is has a small and open economy and us thus exports that contribute to half of the GDP and due to the geographical location has a well developed and established transit services, with the wood-processing, the agriculture and has the manufacturing of machinery and electronics industries. It also has a machine-building and metalworking as the major sector of the economy.
