George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 by our calendar— it was February 11, 1731 by the calendar used at the time in Britain and its colonies. So he would be 282 on his birthday this year— pretty certainly making him the oldest person who ever lived. (In fact, he died on December 14, 1799, at the age of 67.)
