Let's set the width as x cm

The length must be 2x + 3

2x + 3 = p

The equation can be written as 2(x) + 2(2x + 3) = 36

Simplify, solve.

2x + 4x + 6 = 36

6x = 36 - 6

6x = 30

x = 5

2x + 3 = 13
