question 2 if m angle 4 = (3x)° and m angle 8 = (x + 40)° what is the measure of angle 4. angle 4 and angle 8 are vertical

if angle4 and angle8 are verticle and that means they probably have the same number of degrees so
3x=x+40
3x-x=x-x+40
2x=40
2x/2=40/2
x=20
