The slope-intercept form:

[tex]y=mx+b[/tex]

m - slope

b - y-intercept

We have [tex]3x+6y=12[/tex].

Transform to the slope-intercept form.

[tex]3x+6y=12[/tex]      subtract 3x from both sides

[tex]6y=-3x+12[/tex]      divide both sides by 6

[tex]y = -\dfrac{1}{2}x+2[/tex]

Answer:

[tex]slope\ m=-\dfrac{1}{2}\\\\y-intercept:(0,\ 2)[/tex]
