how do I solve the equation 9y-11=7

9y-11=7
9y =11+7
9y =18
y =18/2=9
So, y=2

9y - 11 = 7

9y + 11 - 11 = 7 + 11 = 18

9y + 0 = 18

9y = 18

9y/9 = 18/9

y = 2
