The fromula of a slope:

[tex]m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]

We have (-3, 4) and (4, -1).

Substitute:

[tex]m=\dfrac{-1-4}{4-(-3)}=\dfrac{-5}{4+3}=-\dfrac{5}{7}[/tex]
