you first use 9/2 to open brackets
9/2*8=36,
9/2*x=9/2x
36-9/2x=102-5/2{3x+24}
5/2*3x=15/2x+60
36-9/2x=-15/2x-60
36+60=15/2x+9/2x
96=12x you then divide and the answer obtained will be 8.
x=8
