"∩" is called the union symbol. It's commonly used in engineering. The intersection of sets ‘A’ and ‘B’ is the set containing the unique elements from both set ‘A’ and set ‘B’. Thus, to create an intersection, elements found in both original sets, which are the duplicates discarded by the union operation.
