A compressor is the part of the cooling system that pressurizes vaporized refrigerant to make it hotter.
The main purpose of a compressor is to circulate the refrigerant in the system. There are many types of compressors also including : positive displacement, scroll compressors, diaphragm compressors, and rotary screw compressors (just to name a few).
