Turns out, the land in Texas was pretty cheap, so they decided to chill out in Texas. (The Americans) The thing is, a lot of Mexican people also inhabited this area, but surely they didn't want to follow the United States rules. Mexico feared losing Texas to us Americans, so boom, there goes a conflict that was eventually settled.
