I'm not sure what you mean but the opposite of an integer is its addtive inverse. Meaning, if the integer is positive, the result is its negative, (e.g. additive inverse of x when x > 0 is -1*x = -x)
When x is negative, the additive inverse is positive (x when x < 0 is -1*-x = 1*x = -x)
