In 2011, the US had the largest trade deficit with China. Most of it is composed by non-oil merchandises. In fact, three fourths of the growth in the trade deficit in 2011 is atributed to goods of the previous type coming from China.
Also, another cause of the increase in this trade deficit in 2011, was the manipulation that China was doing of its currency.
