Deforestation in Latin America has been carried out PRIMARILY by the cattle industry. Although it is true that every country is trying to preserve the forests, still the economic and social causes have gone against preservation of forests. In Latin American countries, this is a big problem. The cattle industry is regularly cutting down forests to feed the cattle and create new grazing lands.
