So remember the rectangle area formula [tex] A=lw [/tex] . Since we have the area, 0.8, and the sides, 3.2 and x, we can plug them in to solve for x:

[tex] 0.8=3.2x [/tex]

For this, just divide both sides by 3.2, and your answer will be [tex] 0.25=x [/tex]

A = LW

LW = A

3.2 * x = 0.8

x = 0.8/3.2

x = 0.25
