I believe the answer is: tendency of people to make inferences
According to Attribution theory, all the behaviours that being displayed by individuals could be examined by observing their feelings, beliefs, and intention. From these factors, people would make inferences that is 'make sense' for them individually, which lead to the creation of the behaviours.
