The answer is: x = 30

Step 1: Simplify [ 1/4 (x + 2) to x+2/4 ]

Step 2: Subtract 4 from both sides.

Step 3: Simplify 12-4 to 8

Step 4: Multiply both sides by 4

Step 5: Simply 8 x 4 to 32

Step 6: Subtract 2 from both sides

Step 7: Simplify 32 - 2 to 30.

Let me know if this helps! :)
