The basic features of a tsunami are a series of waves in a body of water after the displacement of a large body of water (especially in an ocean or a large lake) caused by earthquakes, underwater landslides, or volcanic eruptions.
Tsunamis travel at about 20-30 miles per hours and can reach up to 100 feet high. They are especially prevalent along the coasts.
