For this, we will be using the triangle inequality theorem, which is [tex] B+C>A\\ A+C>B\\ A+B>C [/tex]

In this case, let A = 7, B = 1, and C = 7.

[tex] 1+7>7\\ 8>7 (true) [/tex]

[tex] 7+7>1\\ 14>1 (true) [/tex]

[tex] 7+1>7\\ 8>7 (true) [/tex]

Because all the inequalities are true, this is a possible triangle.
