Two bicyclists are 200 miles apart when they start racing towards each other. if their speeds are 12 mph and 6 mph, in how long will they be twenty miles apart?

Their closing speed is 12+6 = 18 mph, so they will cover 180 of the miles between them in 180/18 = 10 hours.
